Just when you think you have life figured out, it smacks you in the face. The engine in my car is going bad, it will only last about another 4 weeks or so my mechanic tells me. Also, I can't get it to pass emissions and my registration expires the second week in December so I need to take it to the Chevy dealership before then so I can use it as a downpayment for a new used vehicle. I also got news today that my school plans on laying me off without pay and no unemployment from December 18 - January 1. That's 2 weeks with no pay and I will have a car payment, car insurance, a student loan, and utility bills that will need to be paid. So basically I need to buy a new car or I can't get to work (when I am working) and I need to do it sometime in the next 3 weeks. Also, I am being laid off with no pay at all for 2 weeks. There are no jobs available in my region. Not even seasonal.
